NORTH CAROLINA TROOPS

The 26th Regiment of North Carolina Volunteers was organized in Raleigh last week by electing Hon. Z. B. Vance, colonel; H. K. Burgwynn, Jr., Lieutenant Colonel, and A. B. Carmichael, Major.

--State Journal—

This Regiment left for Newbern on Monday last.  We had the pleasure of seeing Col. Vance in this city on Tuesday.  He took his departure on Wednesday to join his Regiment.

The Regiment, we learn, has been stationed at Bogue Island, forty miles below Newbern.
